SADGA (South African Disabled Golf Association) was set up in 2004 to enable disabled golfers to enjoy and compete in the golf arena. Retief is one of SADGAS Patrons.
SADGA provides clinics throughout South Africa for disadvantaged, disabled youngsters introducing them to golf and the job opportunities within the industry. Regional Days are held in five Regional centres on a monthly basis encouraging disabled golfers to compete against able-bodied, the only difference between them being their golf handicap. The Nedbank SA Disabled Golf Open is held annually with a field of local and international players representing all areas of disability.
On 15th September 2008 at Burhill Golf Club, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England, SADGA are holding their first international fundraiser - "The Corporate Golf Challenge in Aid of SADGA"
Teams are still available at a cost of £1,500 which includes four playing places, dinner, prizes and gifts. For further information please contact
