Dear Retief, I saw you at the Shell Houston Open. You were playing the 17th hole (your 8th hole) on Friday. You hit your second shot in the right greenside bunker and you hit your bunker shot about 10 by the hole. I was in the bleachers watching and I was really pulling for you to hole the putt but I just knew that you were going to miss the putt. And you missed! I think I jinxed you... Oh well, you've won two US Opens and I hope you will win another one, or better yet win the Masters this year!! Go Retief!

Am so happy and relieved to see you back in action. Have been an ardent fan ever since Shinecock Hills and greatly admire your game, your composure and the manner in which you carry yourself around the course and, I am sure, in your personal life. I back you in every tournament and while that has not recently been all that rewarding in one sense I just enjoy rooting for you. All the best in the coming season.
