It's been a busy few weeks. After the Jo'burg Open I headed to East London Golf Club, for the Africa Open. It turned out to be a great week, in the final round I carded a 65 including eight birdies to win and finish on 21 under, one shot clear of overnight leaders Darren Clarke and Michael Hoeyweeks.

From South Africa it was off to Qatar, for the Commercialbank Qatar Masters Presented by Dolphin Energy. Two years ago I won the tournament and was looking forward to defending the title last year, but unfortunately I had to have an eye operation and was unable to take part. So this year was my defence of the title. The week started well winning the Pro-Am on the Wednesday, and my first round of 69 was a good start but a 73 in my second round, followed by a 67 and 71 meant that I finished T21st.

I've taken this week off to work on my game and then it's of to the States for the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines in San Diego.

Best wishes Retief
