The hard work has started to pay off, a 2nd place finish at the WGC-CA Championship last week saw a return to form. It was a long week, with the final days play going into Monday after a rain delay on Sunday. The first round saw me shoot a 71, followed by a 69, and a 64 on Saturday, after the rain delay on Sunday on Monday I came back and birdied 14 and 16 which saw we get to one off the lead at -16, I missed a birdie put at 18 which would have tied me for the lead. I finished with a 68. Disappointing but at the same time really pleased to be playing well and scoring well again. Congratulations to Geoff Ogilvy, it it's nice to see somebody else lift a trophy for a change.
On Monday once we had finished at Doral it was a quick dash to Isleworth Golf & Country Club for the Tavistock Cup. This is an event founded by The Tavistock Group who own Isleworth and Lake Nona. The touring pros who are members at both clubs play in the World Golf and Country Club Championship, played over two days, its a fun event, the field includes Ernie, Justin Rose, Tiger and Annika, and raises a lot of money for charity.
I've moved up from 117th on the FedEx Cup points to 35th after last week and up from 37th in the world rankings to 26th. Later in the week I travel over to New Orleans for the Zurich Classic, let's hope the good form continues.
Best wishes
