The final major of the year this week, I’m playing the first two rounds with Ryan Moore and Francesco Molinari.
After finishing 6th at The Open at St Andrews and 3rd last week at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational it would be great to finish No 1. I’ve been playing quite consistent this year, which is quite nice. I’ve just not been winning. Obviously, you want to win. I’ve had a lot of top 10s this year but that doesn’t mean anything.
As always the competition is strong at a Major, I think these days probably half of the players that tee it up in the field definitely have a chance of winning. It wasn't a big surprise to me that Louis won. I knew he was a good player, and it was only a matter of time for him breaking through. I think that's the case for a lot of players, but it would be good to win my 3rd major this week.
Best wishes
