This week I am in the States for the first Fed-Ex play off event, The Barclays, which takes place at the Ridgewood Country Club,Paramus, New Jersey, just outside New York. The top 144 on the Fed-Ex points list qualifiy. The FedEx Cup awards a total of $35 million in bonus money at the conclusion of the playoffs, including a deferred $10 million to the FedExCup champion, the largest single bonus payout in sport.

I've had some good rounds over the past couple of weeks, but only one top 10 finish, in the World Golf Championship, so I need some consistent rounds over the next few weeks.

Following Padraigs wins in the British Open and the US PGA, I've received an invite to play in the PGA Grand Slam this year. Along with Phil Mickelson, I've been invited to join Padraig and Trevor Immelmann in the event, only four golfers take part. This is the 26th time the event has taken place and is being held at the Bermuda and Mid Ocean Club from October 13th - 15th. Unfortunately it means I won't be able to play in the Portugal Masters this year, which is an event I really enjoy.
